Johnny Durocher, Sarnia ON

Johnny Durocher was a fiddler of aboriginal Canadian descent from Sarnia, Ontario. Years ago I (Trae McMaken) had the honor of crossing the river from my home into Sarnia and meeting with Johnny’s good friend Ron St. Pierre in the basement of the Sarnia Legion Hall. There, Ron played fiddle tunes by Johnny and told me stories of his life. Johnny was a prolific fiddle tune composer and became an acquaintance of Don Messer who broadcast Johnny’s music across Canada and the US. See the below video for more stories about Johnny.
