Summer agenda

Michigan Fiddle is not asleep; it just had a busy transition from winter to summertime. But there has been work happening behind the scenes, and there is an agenda for this summer.

1. I (Trae) will be posting a long series of fiddle-related excerpts from county histories. This series may include as much as a post per day (when in range of internet).

2. I would like to get things worked out so I can post a PDF of the Port Huron House Party booklet soon.

3. Eliot Singer is still hoping to be contacted by more families of fiddlers for permission to post his significant collection of field recordings. Please see his request linked above.

4. Over all, I have probably 15-25 hours of field recordings that I'm not yet allowed to post up. Hopefully, some of these will have permission granted in the future. In the meantime, I do have a few more field recordings that will hopefully see light this summer.

5. Please, anyone with an article or post they'd like to put on this website, contact me to do so.

Everyone have a great summer and play some Michigan tunes!
